Firemaking

Equipment - A tinderbox, a lot of logs, a fair amount of money, ring of fire, and flame gloves.

Lvl 1-99

===IMPORTANT NOTE=== - At 62 Firemaking you can get ring of fire, and at 79, flame gloves. Combined, these give a 5% boost to all Firemaking exp! Get them after doing the "All Fired Up" quest.

===IF EVER BURNING MASS AMOUNTS OF LOGS=== - Burn them in Oo'glog, the Grand Exchange, Port phasmatys, or the Duel Arena [best to worst order in that aroder].

===IMPORTANT NOTE=== - To make your Firemaking as quick as possible, I have two little tips for you. If you're a little on the lazy side, Firemaking in Varrock and teleing to the fountail, burning your logs [which puts you right in front of the bank], banking and repeating saves several hours.

If you aren't lazy, you may notice there's a given time between each log you light. If you go to Oo'glog [or the G.E., but the G.E. isn't quite as good], there's 4 rows or spaces you can firemake in. Light half of you inventory of logs normally, but for the second half, in between lighting each log take 2 steps towards the bank and make another fire. Your character auto-walks west after you make a fire, but there's just enough time to run 2 spaces and light another fire before you waste any time! The you're right in front of the bank after the other half inventory. It's a hard technique to perfect, but it saves you over 7 seconds per inventory! I've timed it! (He's timed it!!!)

Method 1 Lvls 1-15: Regular Logs - Burn some logs for these lvls. Buy them from a Free2Play general store or cut them yourself.

XP: 30k xp/hr GP: 60k gp/hr

Method 1 Lvls 15-30: Oak Logs - Now burn some oak logs, same principal applies for these as ones before.

XP: 45k xp/hr GP: 60k gp/hr

Method 1 Lvls 30-45: Willow Logs - It's best to do willows through level 45, then do maples, but if you want a cheap way to 99, willows are the way to go. So this is the BEST method through lvls 45, not 99 [going to 99 with willows is REALLY slow compared to other methods]. Another way is to go into some Free2Play (world) and buy willow logs from a general store and burn them. You will only need around 1.8M to get to 99 doing it this way and you'll get around 1.2k exp per minute this way...so it's cheap and fairly fast.

XP: 100k xp/hr GP: 12k gp/hr

Method 1 Lvls 45-99: Maple Logs - Maples are the most efficient way to 99 for most people, and only cost a few mil to 99 with fast xp rates. If you earn between 80-500k cash per hour, [which is most of you out there] this is the most time efficient way to get 99 Firemaking.

XP: 160k xp/hr GP: 55k gp/hr

Method 2 Lvls 58-99: Eucalyptus Logs - Eucalyptus logs are a good option to 99 if you can earn 500k+ [cash] per hour. Eucalyptus are 8.5 exp less per log than yews, but range from 40-60 gp less per log!(NOTE: idk when this was made so I don't really know if this range is still good or not). So Eucalyptus are a much better option than yews.

XP: 205k xp/hr GP: 500k gp/hr

Method 3 Lvls 35-99: Teak Logs - Combo skilling with teaks can actually be a more efficient way to get both woodcutting and firemaking to 99, rather than just simply powercutting teaks and firemaking yews/maples to level 99. IF YOU EARN LESS THAN 300k CASH PER HOUR, THEN THIS METHOD IS MORE EFFICIENT. The best place to do this is the Kharazi Jungle. Bring an axe, a tinderbox and chop till you have a full inventory. Then burn them.

XP: 50-55k xp/hr GP: 0 gp/hr

Speed - Firemaking is one of the fastest skills in the game. If you use maple logs from your kingdom, you'll get around 3k exp per minute, and eucalyptus logs get 4k per min, so I'm rating this a 9 out of 10 on speed.

Uses - Firemaking can be really useful in Dungeoneering for creating fires to cook food. Also helpful to light lanterns and for shades of Mort'ton and some quest requirements.

Misconceptions - Pyrelords give horrible exp, don't use them.
